Every time I make this cake, it vanishes as soon as it’s ready. Completely finished. No leftovers! I have since resorted to making a double recipe every time and the results are the same. My family loves this cake. It is so delicious and it’s great for a packed lunch.
Apple And Honey Cake
- Cream the butter and sugar together, then add the egg and beat until light and fluffy.
- Sift the dry ingredients together. Add them to the butter mixture, alternately with milk.
- Spoon half of the batter in a greased baking dish. Cover with apple slices and spoon the remaining batter over. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F/180°C for about 40 minutes or until done.
- Melt the butter and honey together and pour over the cake after removing it from the oven. Serve warm.
