This is my favorite scone recipe! It is the one recipe that I share the most (I have a tendency of giving it to people without them asking). You can use fresh milk if you don’t have sour milk but it is way more delicious with sour milk. Yogurt or buttermilk can also be used in place of sour milk.
Sour Milk Scones
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and creamy.
- Add the vanilla essence.
- Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating thoroughly before adding the next one.
- Add the flour.
- Lastly, add the sour milk.
- Bake at 350°F/180°C for 10 – 20 minutes depending on the depth of your trays.
